Wolf Camp directors Kim & Chris Chisholm oversee every course within our hallmark 6-1 ratio of students-to-highly trained instructors, ensuring you and your family will be inspired in nature, will learn in depth, and will love your Wolf Camp experience. Camp themes include the Wilderness Skills Sampler, Wilderness Survival Craft, Wildlife Search & Rescue, Wild Cooking & Herbology, Secrets of the Ancient Scout, The American Pioneer, and for returning campers Advanced Nature & Survival.
Campers will learn to embrace the mountains whether they are spending their nights in a quaint log cabin by the main lodge, sleeping under the stars in a tent on a beautiful remote piece of Cal-Wood’s land, or venturing out into local Colorado wilderness on a multi-day backpacking trip.
Summer days are spent exploring our forests, meadows, creeks, and historical sites while making new friends and bonding with old.
Full-Time Summer Farm Internship is a residential program running June-Sept and is certified by the Washington State Farm Internship Program. Full-Time Summer Earth Skills Teaching Apprenticeship has been our hallmark experience since 1999.
The Conservation College started in the 1990’s by offering classes and workshops on ethnobiology including wildlife tracking and birding, wilderness survival skills, wild edible cooking, herbal medicine making, traditional craftwork, permaculture and more. Summer Expeditions follow the same schedule as our overnight camps listed above.August 26-31, 2018: Secrets of the Ancient Scout runs on even years at Lake Sammamish.August 2019: Epic Fishing Camp runs on odd years along the Salish Sea & Pacific Coast.July 8-13, 2018: Wilderness Survival Training & Trek near Mt.Rainier for all ages with no prerequisites, plus Advanced Primal Bushcraft and the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Challenge with prereqs.
